Lakeville, CT - Grand Sport Racing has added Don Sak to their driver line-up for Round Four of the Speedvision World Challenge GT series at Lime Rock Park, CT. May 28, 2001. 16-year Trans Am veteran Don Sak joins his son Bobby Sak as a team driver in the #08 Kelly Bradley Enterprises/Grand Sport Racing Corvette C5.

"We had so much fun on the track in testing, we thought it would be great to race together," grinned rookie Bobby Sak. "We think this is a great chance to enjoy the sport we love most together and I get a chance to beat the old man"

In spite of the young Saks enthusiasm, beating Don Sak wont be as easy. Lime Rock has been where Don Sak has posted his best finishes in the Trans Am series. In 1991, he was the winner of the Champion Hard Charger Award. In 1998, he had his highest qualifying position, 7th on the grid, and best Trans Am finish, 4th place.

Don Saks experience and treachery will be well matched against Bobby Saks youthful talent. Bobby has quickly demonstrated his skill in the professional ranks. He won his first Pro Spec Racer event at Las Vegas in 2000. He was on his way to a top-ten finish in his Speedvision World Challenge GT debut at TMS this year before a mechanical problem ended his day. Bobby reached the top-ten at Mosport and openly challenged veteran drivers Derek Bell, Lou Gigliotti and Bobby Archer for position.

While both Don and Bobby have had fun kidding each other about this race, both father and son are serious in their intent to top the SVWC GT field.

"There is no question we will have fun racing with each other," stated Bobby Sak, "but we are both focused on beating everyone else. For each of us, that is our top priority. Together on the track, we will more likely be working with each rather than against."
