For the year 2000, Kleinubing has shown a new level of maturity that may take him to the Driver's Championship. In the first two races of the year, Kleinubing ran the perfect race, leading every lap en route to taking both victories. Third in the voting was Kleinubing's teammate, Kevin Schrantz. Schrantz is fresh off the momentum of his first career win in World Challenge, which he took at Lime Rock Park. Schrantz pulled in 24% off the votes.

Fourth in the voting was Will Turner. Turner finished fourth in the 1999 World Challenge Touring Driver's Championship, recording two victories along the way. Turner received 10% of the votes.
