Muzzy Racing to Campaign Full 2008 World Challenge Season in Viper

TEMPE, Ariz. (Feb. 7, 2008) - Muzzy Racing, which fields the No.56 Dodge Viper Competition Coupe in the SCCA Pro Racing SPEED World Challenge GT Championship, is excited to announce it will run its first full season in 2008.

In the previous three seasons, the team has competed in five, eight and four races, respectively, with driver Ritch Marziale. This year, the team has put together what they feel will be a very competitive Viper, and are confident they will be able to improve on last year's best finish of 10th at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca.

"The level of competition in SPEED World Challenge GT has always been what appeals to me," Marziale said. "Each and every race weekend features some of the best road racers in the country. It's been a long road to get to this point, but we are now ready to compete at this, the premier level of road racing, each and every weekend."

Marziale has piloted Vipers for a number of years, winning the Viper Days Unlimited Championship in 1999 and the Viper Days Unlimited Pro Class title in 2000. In his 19 World Challenge starts behind the wheel of the All Cut Concrete Cutting Dodge Viper, Marziale has scored three top-10 finishes, including a career-best seventh at the Grand Prix of Cleveland in 2005.

The SCCA Pro Racing SPEED World Challenge Championships open at Sebring International Raceway March 12 -- 14, during the 56th Annual Mobil 1 12 Hours of Sebring Presented by Fresh From Florida. It will be Muzzy Racing's first World Challenge race at the famous Florida road course. To learn more about SCCA SPEED World Challenge visit www.world-challenge.com.
