Bowmanville, Ontario - August 16, 2002 - Taking advantage of series rules, Turner Motorsport has logged 6 days of testing at Mosport. Today it paid off. Will Turner, [#92 Turner Motorsport / H&R Springs BMW 325i] broke the current track record turning in a 1:34.581 [93.595 mph] on his first flying lap. His time was the only one of the 34-car field to break into the 1:34 range.

"We've really done our homework here," said Will Turner "Today really shows the results of the team's hard work."

"We deserve this," he continued. The practice we've done here, the effort the team has put in, and the exclamation point today was the draft I got on my pole lap. I got the draft, I don't remember who it was from, at the very best possible place on the trackthe back straight."

Teammate, Bobby Sak [#93 Turner Motorsport / H&R Springs BMW 325i] came out of the session very pleased with his 11th place starting position.

"I'm sure I left a little on the table," Bobby said. "The car is very strong. I'm real pleased with the power. I was pulling up on people at will; so starting 11th should work out ok. I'll need to focus on a good hole shot then go find Will Turner and run with him."

Qualifying in 18th, Frank Selldorff [#94 Turner Motorsport / H&R Springs BMW 325i] was looking for the success he enjoyed here back in the spring.

"Well, I took a gamble on some set-up changes and missed," Frank laughed. "We're going to put it back were I was comfortable and just go racing. Sometimes you have to come to the realization that you've hit your set-up... now go drive it. I'm going to go out and come back with a good finish. I know we can do that."
