Tuner tops touring in Mosport Speed World Challenge practice

CANADA (May 17, 2002) -- Will Turner, of Newburyport, Mass., set the fastest time of the day in preparations for Saturday's SCCA Pro Racing Speed World Challenge Touring Car Round Two Race at Mosport International Raceway. Ken Dobson, of Carmel Valley, Calif., and Scott Bradley, of Mountain View, Calif., completed the top three.

Driving the No. 92 Turner Motorsport/H&R Springs BMW 325i, Turner ran a lap of 1:35.734 (95.853 mph) early in the second session to top the day. Dobson's SSF Import Auto Parts/Westek Electronics BMW 325Ci was 0.219-second behind, followed closely by rookie Bradley's TriPoint Motorsports Mazda Protégé ES, which turned a 1:36.017 to lead the first session.

Taz Harvey's Honda Civic was fourth on the day, followed by defending race winner and series Champion Pierre Kleinubing's Acura Integra R.

Both Woody's Ice Qualifying and the Round Two race will take place Saturday.
