GMAC/Trenton Forging #5 GTO Sees Improvement Hayner very pleased with the car and team's progress

Lexington, Oh -- June 24, 2004 The #5 GMAC Commercial Finance/Trenton Forging GTO finished the final practice Friday with a sense of turning the corner for this week's for Round 3 of the SCCA Speed World Challenge GT at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course on June 27. The race will air on SPEED Channel Sunday, June 27 at 1pm EST.

"We're really starting to make some headway," remarked driver, Stu Hayner. "I think this might be the first time I've climbed out of the car and talked about set-up changes. We've been chasing gremlins and development problems for the last 5 months-- so, this is a good sign. We've still got a long way to go, but it's good to be talking about making things better in general set-up terms."

Car chief, Rob Wanamaker agreed. "We've still got a lot of development work to do going forward. But, the things we focus on now are things that will move us up the field. That's a good feeling when you've been in development mode ."

In other activities, driver, Stu Hayner, joined fellow World Challenge driver, Jim Osborn, taking time out to pay a visit to patients being treated at the Columbus Children's Hospital.

"It's great to get to do this," commented Hayner. "It's nice to meet the patients and their families. You realize that it's pretty much impossible for many of them to attend a race. So it was a pleasure signing autographs and talking about our cars and racing."
