Amesbury, Mass. - September 17, 2002 - With the point battle tightening up, Will Turner is looking forward to getting his crew and team back on the track with this week's test session at Laguna Seca. The Turner Motorsport team will spend all day Thursday taking advantage of the pre-event test session on this storied West coast circuit.

"We've taken advantage of the long break," said Will Turner. "It was good to have the time to get things in order, make some changes we had been planning and get the Turner Motorsport / H&R Springs BMWs squared up for this last leg of the championship run."

Will continued, "We'll spend most of Thursday shaking the cars down and taking information from Bobby (Sak #93 Turner Motorsport / H&R Springs BMW) and Frank (Selldorff #94 Turner Motorsport / H&R Springs BMW. Our first priority is to review some of the changes we've made during the break. After that we'll look at optimizing our set-ups for this particular track."

THE WEEKEND: "This should be a good track for us. We have a good combination of straightaway and corner speed with plenty of `snap' off the corners," Turner said. "Our cars typically handle extremely well on the twisty courses like Laguna. Bobby and Frank have been really looking forward to this trip and I think the break has given everyone time to regroup. Personally, I've got some unfinished business after that last lap at Mosport," he laughed.

THE CHAMPIONSHIP: "Well, this is it!" said a determined Turner. "We've been in it all season... so, this is crunch time. I fully intend on taking the Championship. They are going to have to beat me. I'm in good shape... we're positioned to win. There are three teams coming into the weekend nearly dead even. One of us will probably leave here firmly in second. Mathematically, everything is up for grabs... the race is that close."Turner currently sits in fourth place with 158 points. He is one point out of third and three points out of second. The current point leader is Peter Cunningham with 176 points.
