Speedvision Touring Car Championship - SCCA Pro Racing, Ltd.
Welcome to the Wild West where it looks like the championship will come down to the last hand dealt at Laguna Seca. While the front runners are trying to seal the championship, David is just making his first start in the Speedvision Touring Car Championship. David commented, "it's about time that the tour comes out to the West coast (be) cause there are many talented drivers out here who are not able to make many of the races due to the extensive Eastern travel. Hopefully we will represent ourselves well."
David will be driving an Acura Integra GS-R prepared by Auto Service and Performance of Mountain View, CA. and himself known as Mills Sport Racing. Although the leaders are running the Type-R Integra it is not uncommon to see other Acura/Honda models in the Top 10. "It will be great to run this race as I am looking forward to all the fun and competition the Speedvision Touring Car Championship has to offer. Hopefully I can hook up with some of the other cars and we can put on a show with some close racing. A finish will be great, but I'm told this car may be capable of a Top 10 finish, we'll see."
The Speedvision Touring Car Championship is winding up its 9-race season with the Saturday Oct. 9 race at Laguna Seca. The race is scheduled to begin at 10:15 a.m.. The race is the first to be run during the American LeMans, Visa Sports Car Championships weekend of events. The race will also be aired (tape delay) on Speedvision Oct. 30 at 6 p.m. PST (9 p.m. EST).
David Mills is an African American driver who has amassed 19 wins in 41 races in various types of sedan and formula racecars over the past 7 years. He has also set lap records at Sears Point, Laguna Seca, and Thunderhill racetracks.
