TOPEKA, Kan. (February 3, 2003) -- B&M Racing & Performance Products, producers of high-quality shifters, torque converters, transmissions and other street and racing products, announced today an expanded SCCA Pro Racing SPEED World Challenge partnership for 2003.

B&M will continue its support of the B&M Holeshot Award for the SCCA SPEED Touring Car Championship, offering $500 to the driver that advances the most positions on the first lap of the race from their starting position. In addition, B&M has upped its support of the Championship with exclusive number board sponsorship.

"We've enjoyed utilizing the SCCA SPEED Touring Car Championship as a vehicle to promote our products," said Bob Ritzman, B&M Racing & Performance Products Vice President of Marketing. "This program expansion is the next step in our relationship and we're very excited for the 2003 season to begin."

In addition to its SCCA SPEED Touring Car programs, B&M will again offer contingency prizes to SPEED GT teams utilizing B&M products.

"B&M has really stepped up its support of the SPEED World Challenge, and they will be much more visible because of it," said Mitch Wright, SCCA Pro Racing Vice President and General Manager. "Along with B&M, all of our sponsors have helped make the SCCA SPEED World Challenge the premier production-based road racing series in North America."

The SCCA SPEED World Challenge GT and Touring Car Championships begin their seasons at Sebring International Raceway, running in conjunction with the 51st Annual Mobil 1 12 Hours of Sebring from March 12-15.
