"Canadian Daniel Di Leo looks to extend point lead in Wisconsin"
TORONTO, ON. - Markham, Ontario resident Daniel Di Leo (Di Leo Auto Sport / Select Auto Collision / WTF Solutions / Autosports Media) heads to the 4.04 mile Road America road course to compete in round #7 of the Star Mazda Series Championship presented by Goodyear. Di Leo, who is coming off another second place finish at Mosport, will look to garner his second victory of the season in front of the popular ALMS crowd at Road America.
Di Leo, a former multi-time karting champion and winner of the opening round in Sebring, has finished on the podium in every event of '04. He has competed several times at this legendary circuit and will look to leave again with his name in the record books. The talented Canadian will have a little extra pressure this weekend as he will be competing in front of a larger audience.
"Many of my former racing mates will be competing in the Stars of Karting event in the infield, and I hope that I can put on a show for them." As the season enters the final four races, Di Leo leads his closest rival by 30 points. The Markham, ON resident has been the most consistent driver in the series and credits his points to his consistent finishes. "My goal this year is to win the championship and the Rookie of the Year title. I know to do that I must finish up front at every event."
