TORONTO, ON. -- (June 22, 2004) After a thirteen week hiatus in the Star Mazda North American Championship presented by Goodyear, 22-year old Daniel Di Leo (Select Auto Collision / Autosports Media) is ready to get back into racing competition. Round two in the championship will take place at the 15 turn 2.4 mile Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, OH.

Looking to continue with the momentum from an opening round win in Sebring, Di Leo will look to garner another race win at Mid-Ohio. Competing here in the past on separate occasions is beneficial for success on the tough and technical Mid-Ohio course. "I have raced here before in both wet and dry conditions," stated Di Leo. "I know the track and want to do well. Last year I was second here in the Barber Dodge event and would like to take that final step to the top of the podium."

Though the series has been off since the mid-March event at Sebring, Di Leo has been busy testing at several different tracks throughout North America. Di Leo recently traveled to Mid-Ohio on Monday in preparation for the June 25-27th event.

"The test went very well," stated the series point leader. "We improved on some things and it was good to get back to this track. I am excited that the race is finally just around the corner. I expect a lot of competition at the front of the pack as the long wait has made everyone very hungry for the victory." During non racing weekends Di Leo has spent a lot of time working hard on sponsorship leads. Though a deal has not been finalized, something is in the works that will see a primary sponsor on the side of Di Leo's Pro Mazda.

Di Leo will hit the tack on Friday June 25th for the first round of the weekend's official competition and will look to take the checkered on the Sunday afternoon event.
