Andersen Racing Moves Into Larger Facility

FAIRFIELD, N.J., Feb. 7 - Andersen Racing, one of the most respected formula car racing teams in North America, recently moved into a larger, state-of-the-art shop at 26 Law Drive, Unit C, Fairfield.

The team fields multiple cars in the Star Mazda Championship presented by Goodyear. It competes at some of the best racing facilities in the United States and Canada, and its events are televised on the SPEED Channel.

Team owner Dan Andersen employs five people at the new facility, including Richard Morgan, the team's general manager. Approximately 10 more are hired on a part-time or freelance basis during the racing season, although with testing the team is active year-round.

The new shop is 7,000 square feet.

The team's drivers for 2006 are Brad Jaeger of Cincinnati; Gerardo Bonilla of Orlando, Fla.; and Ramiro Scuncio of Argentina. Its first race of the year will be held in conjunction with the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring in Sebring, Fla. March 17.
