Global grooming and shaving giant, Braun, have announced a partnership with Greg Murphy Racing's three-car Porsche GT3 Carrera Cup operation.
Owned by the Gillette group, Braun will take over the Naming Rights sponsorship of the team from Mossimo, and will be know as "Greg Murphy Racing - Team Braun."
The German-based company will use the alignment with the team and Greg to launch a consumer campaign during the lead-up to Christmas, which will include a competition to win a prized Porsche Boxster.
Speaking on behalf of Braun, Senior Product Manager, Mark Tysoe is delighted to have formed an association with the team, brand and Carrera Car category.
"The synergies between the Porsche product and those of Braun are perfectly suited," he said.
"Braun and Porsche's hallmark attributes of high-technology, quality, precision and performance go hand-in hand with those of a professional race team and we are excited about what GMR can offer us from a partnership program."
Greg Murphy Racing - Team Braun will field cars for Peter Hill, Roger Oakeshott and Tim Leahey, the latter currently sitting in fourth place in this year's inaugural championship having recorded one round win at Darwin's Hidden Valley in June.
Says Leahey with a grin, "We've already had a few close shaves this year and I hope we can continue our smooth run towards the front of the pack next time out at Sandown.
The man with his name on the team, V8 Supercar star Greg Murphy, is also enthusiastic about his team's new sponsor and the potential for the future.
"After running F4000s for the last few seasons this year has marked our first foray into tin-top racing and we've tried to put together a very professional operation. It's a testimony to dad (Kevin), our three drivers and the team that we have attracted the attention of a forward thinking company like Braun."
