Carrera Cup: Lacko Zigzagged To Points

Adam Lacko with the Farnbacher Racing's car managed to work his way through in a dramatic race in Oschersleben, Germany, from his 26th starting position to the final 14th place. He thus managed to gather some more points in the championship.

Despite achieving 21st time in Saturday qualification, Lacko started in the Sunday race from 26th position. The reason was a five-places-back penalty given to a few pilots for the Friday free practice. Farnbacher Racing's driver was penalized because he'd set his fastest time in a lap when yellow flags were out - regardless of the fact the flags were displayed after Lacko had passed the section in question.

The second 2007 Porsche Carrera Cup race, featuring 38 cars, was full of dramatic moments, collisions, attractive duels and eye-catching manoeuvres. Tough fights could be seen both at the head and way back in the middle of the pack. Adam Lacko, offering attractive duels and an aggressive drive, was one of the pilots often chosen by TV cameras.

Adam Lacko: "It was quite a hard race; mainly in the beginning I managed to overtake one of the rivals almost every lap. Later I had to eschew a small collision. Generally, I'm satisfied with the race."

Antonin Charouz: "I'm not too enthusiastic about the results, I expected Adam to finish in top ten. Whatever, Adam must keep on learning."
