For 18 days in the fall Skip Barber Racing School will hold its Three Day Racing Schools at world famous Daytona International Speedway. The six separate programs beginning in October of 2001 will take place on a brand new road course that the Speedway is constructing exclusively for Skip Barber Racing School use.

Still in its design phase, the track will reside entirely within the Speedway oval and will not use any part of the 2.5-mile high-banked oval. The advantage to such a set up is that another Skip Barber property, The Racing Experience, America’s most aggressive NASCAR stockcar driving experience will run on the oval while the Racing School operates on the road course at the same time. Meanwhile the Dodge/Skip Barber Driving School will hold court outside the speedway in an area designated for it.

Thus at one venue, it will be possible to drive the single seat open-wheel Formula Dodge in the Skip Barber Three Day Racing School, the 450 hp Dodge Viper GTS in the Dodge/Skip Barber Driving School, and a real Winston Cup stockcar on the 2.5-mile Daytona International Speedway oval at speeds up to 165 mph.

The Skip Barber Race Series will also make a stop at the World Center of Racing including the Formula Dodge National Championship Presented by RACER finale on Dec. 1-2.

The Skip Barber Three Day Racing Schools will be offered on October 12-14, 24-26, 27-29, November 13-15, December 14-16 and 19-21.

Dodge/Skip Barber Driving Schools will take place October 25-26, November 14-15, December 1-2, 15-16 and 20-21 for the two day program. The one day schools will take place on October 24, November 13,29,30 and in December on 14.

The Racing experience will hit the high banks on October 10-12, 24-29 and in December on 3-4 and 17-21.
