SEBRING, Florida - August 23, 1998 - Todd Lamb took his first turn at the wheel of a Barber Dodge Pro Series car at the world renowned Sebring International Raceway on August 22nd and 23rd. Once again his ability to adapt to new terrain was illustrated by a rapid learning curve. Todd spent the first test day feeling out the car and adjusting to the track while he actively sought critique and advice from the veteran drivers and driving coaches present. His high level of knowledge and understanding of using information from the on-board data acquisition system gave him a distinct advantage in coming up to speed quickly. After working through some mechanical issues with the car and tweaking his line, Todd was running with the fastest of the pack by the end of the second day.
Todd Lamb - "The Barber Dodge cars are a blast to drive! I was amazed at the car's braking and cornering capabilities. I had expected to spend several days adapting to the downforce and racing slicks, but the transition was easier than I imagined. I'm looking forward to my first race in the car."
At this point in time Todd is tentatively scheduled to run the Barber Dodge Pro Series race in Homestead, Florida on November 14. He has also committed to two additional Speedvision Cup races in the Van Cleef Racing TRD / Red Line Oil Toyota Supra #84 car. The first of these races will take place in Sebring, Florida on September 18th and the second is scheduled for October 11th at Road Atlanta.
