Jonatan Jorge debuts in the National Series of the Formula Dodge.

A recent press release announced that Brazilian driver Jonatan Jorge (PITBULL Energy Drink/Montoya Racing) will be competing in the Formula Dodge National Series. The driver's debut will take place in April 11th, at California Speedway, in Fontana, CA. Based on his performance in the Regional Series, Jorge was selected by Formula Dodge to become a part of the elite group of twenty-five drivers to compete in the National Series. The financial backing was possible due to the support that Jorge receives from Juan Pablo Montoya (from his company Montoya Racing) and from PITBULL Energy Drink. "While Montoya Racing endorses and grants huge credibility to Jorge's talent and technical ability, PITBULL Energy Drink invests on his youth and future success in years to come," said Robert Beck, Jr., from the Jorge's press release group.

Also in April, Jonatan Jorge will take part in the final event of the Formula Dodge Southern Series Championship, in Daytona, FL. Jorge, who leads the fight for the "Rookie of the Year" title, spearheads the overall Championship's point standings, followed by Matt Franc, from the USA, and Cristiano Piquet, also from Brazil.

The Formula Dodge National Series awards the Championship winner, the Rookie of the Year, and the Shoot-out (selective race) winner, with a fully paid season in the Formula Barber Dodge Pro-Series. In the same way that the Formula 3000 events precede the Formula-1 races, the Formula Barber Dodge Pro-Series precedes CART-FedEx, sharing racing days and facilities alike.
