Bryan Sellers, 17, from Centerville, Ohio was honored with the John Gorsiline HPI Award at the American Auto Racing Writers and Broadcasters Association Banquet in Long Beach, California on January 14. The award is given to a promising young racer by the Human Performance Institute, and gives the recipient an opportunity to take advantage of HPI's physical fitness and preparedness programs. HPI is a worldwide leader in sports performance studies and techniques.

"I think anytime I can get an opportunity to improve my physical fitness in preparation for my racing, I can reap rewards," Sellers said.

Sellers is the 1999 Skip Barber Midwestern Race Series Champion and Rookie of the Year. - George Tamayo
