The Roseland in the heart of Manhattan’s theater district blared with live music courtesy of the 7th Annual Media Battle of the Bands benefiting Citymeals-on-Wheels, a service that delivers hot, nutritious meals to tens of thousands of elderly, homebound New Yorkers.

Skip Barber Racing School aided in the cause which raised over $260,000 by donating a One Day Dodge/Skip Barber Driving School as the top prize in the raffle. 100% of the ticket proceeds along with a portion of the raffle proceeds went to Citymeals-on-Wheels.

Attended by over 1200 members of the cable television industry, the battle of the bands pitted some of those member’s bands against one another. Four bands took part, and all were met with enthusiasm from the festive crowd. Cable networks taking part in the benefit included A&E Television Networks, MTV Networks, E! Networks, Discovery Networks, BET, Speedvision and Outdoor Life, Fox Channels, Turner Broadcasting, WGN Cable, and Lifetime Television.
