Ralt has sold an F3 car to Piquet Racing following two successful tests in Brazil at the end of last year. Nelsinho Piquet, son of former World Champion Nelson Pquet, covered nearly 2,000 kilometres in the car without encountering any significant problems.

"We were delighted when Nelson told us in December, while we were still in Brazil, that Piquet Sports wanted to buy the car from us. The team is running Nelsinho in the British series this year, but I understand will not make a decision on which car to run until evaluating our opposition. Apart from this, there is some interest from a couple of other teams who have been watching our car's progress over the past 12 months," said Ralt boss Steve Ward.

While Ralt knows how good its 2002 car was, thanks to testing feedback from drivers such as Andy Priaulx, the company is currently working on updates to the chassis following work done in the wind tunnel at Mira. "The F302 was a car we knew could have been successful in the right hands last year. We are confident the F303 will be even better and hope to have all the new parts ready to test here in the UK soon," commented Ward.
