Indian Akhil Rabindra today announced his return to BRDC F4 for the 2016 season, with a new team.
The 19-year-old competed with Douglas Motorsport in 2015 finishing 13th in the overall standings.
For 2016, the Indian teen has switched teams, joining Lanan Racing, one of the successful teams in BRDC which won titles in 2013 and 2014.
"Lanan Racing has been the most successful team in Formula 4 so I am really happy to be joining them," said Rabindra.
"Last year gave me the experience of racing in the UK that I needed and I am looking forward to fighting at the front this year."
Apart from three retirements and few unlucky rounds, Rabindra scored in every race and also started on pole for two races by virtue of reserve grid.
Graham Johnson, Team Principal of Lanan Racing, added: "We saw how Akhil improved as last year progressed, so it's great to have signed him for this season."
"His record is strong and we are looking forward to working with him to push him forward and on to race wins."
Rabindra's spokesperson told Motorsport.com that the decision was taken during Christmas break after evaluating and testing with several teams over the course in winter.
