Giao is back in the Series after a bad experience in the Italian F3000, "because of the unbelieveble success of the Formula Nissan, in terms of advertising, promotion, TV audiences and people attendance, and because it is extremely well organized."

Young Spaniard Victor Ordoñez (Meycom Sport) set the third quickest time in Estoril, where this impressive Nissan engineered formulas are in the portuguese track for the very first time. Repsol-Ypf, main sponsor of the Spanish team, is looking for a portuguese driver to sit by Ordoñez, so they went through a selection between Rui Aguas, (third classified in the Open Telefonica Series 2000), and Ricardo Megre (26), former BMW Formula Winner.

Teams and drivers are now heading to another privated session at the Circuit of Albacete.
