Circuito del Jarama, 20 May.- Nobody is able to beat this weekend Antonio Garcia, the series current leader. 19 drivers will be in the grid of both races tomorrow and the Spaniard will start from the pole position in both of them. The Adrian Campos Motorsport driver dominated today both qualifiers by approximately half a second each one. Diverse incidents during the first session, also in terms of racing as of weather. A group of four drivers have spun out at the same place and that forced a red flag for about ten minutes. At that moment it started to rain, but not heavily. The session went on, on dry, and Garcia clocked his best lap time (1.26.370) in his 14th and penultimate lap: “I got really surprised because that lap time arrived quite late, and the tyres are not in the perfect condition”. That laptime is the new track record for qualifying practices in Jarama. Former record was set by Fernando Alonso last season (1.26.504).

In the second session, much smoother than the first one, final three-first seeded were exactly the same. Frenchman Jean Christophe Ravier (Epsilon by Graff) confirmed his good performance in the previous by repeating a second place.Portuguese Rui Aguas was third again.Ravier, Current French Formula 3 Promotion champion, had got a best eighth place in Open qualifiers up to now. “I am adapting quickly to the single seater and I have improved a lot in the last weeks. I couldn’t undergo a complete pre-season and it is now when I can take the profit from the car’s performance”, Ravier said.

Bad luck today for Italian Giuseppe Burlotti. The Vergani Racing driver finished far from the top. He made 11th and 9th after set-up problems.

Races will take place tomorrow at 12.05 hours (17 laps) and 14.05 hours local time (25 laps with compulsory pit stop).
