JDC MOTORSPORTS ENDS F2000 CAMPAIGN IN NEW JERSEY
Chris Miller and Juan Pfeiffer enter season-finale doubleheader positioned to advance up the championship standings
MINNEAPOLIS, MN. (September 19, 2008) -- JDC MotorSports concludes its inaugural campaign on the F2000 Championship Series trail on the September 20-21 weekend with the season-finale doubleheader set to go at the New Jersey Motorsports Park facility this weekend. Rookies Chris Miller and Juan Pfeiffer will once again get behind the wheels of their Van Diemen two-liter cars for Rounds 13-14, seeking to end their season with a visit to victory lane.
For Miller, the upcoming doubleheader in New Jersey will mark the end of what has been a highly successful first season of national racing. Piloting the No. 85 Miller Milling/Redline Oil/JDC MotorSports entry, the Minnesota native has been a title contender since Round One, standing on the podium four times and finishing in the top-10 in every round, the lone driver to do so. Miller enters the final races among a group of three drivers battling for the runner-up spot in the title fight, currently lying fourth in the championship standings when taking into account the mandatory drop of the poorest two finishes.
Pfeiffer has shown good speed at times during his first full season of Formula Ford 2000 competition and he travels to the newest road course in the USA in position to finish among the top-10. Behind the wheel of the No. 86 Miller Milling/Redline Oil/JDC MotorSports car, the Colombian has scored six top-10 results in 12 races.
The F2000 Championship Series season-finale doubleheader commences on Thursday (September 18th) with a day-long series test on the 2.5-mile Thunderbolt Raceway course. One day later, the JDC MotorSports drivers will have two additional practice sessions to further work on the ideal setup for the fast road course. Both Saturday and Sunday (September 20-21) will feature identical schedules, with a morning qualifying sessions setting the grids, followed by a scheduled 20-lap race after the lunch break.
