SPORTS MARKETING FIRM HUNT & CO. JOINS U.S. F2000 TEAM
FAIRFIELD, N.J. (May 20, 1998) -- Looking to boost incentives in North America’s top open-wheel driver developmental series, the U.S. F2000 National Championship has retained the sports marketing services of Hunt & Co., Inc. Based in Zionsville, Ind., Hunt & Co. was formed in April by former Indianapolis Motor Speedway executive Kurt Hunt. Hunt served as the IMS Director of Marketing and also headed the IMS Radio Network and IMS Publications during his 12-year tenure at the Speedway. “Kurt Hunt has a proven track record with many of motorsports top sponsors, and we’re confident his expertise will be beneficial to the U.S. F2000’s drivers, sponsors and fans,” said Dan Andersen, co-owner of the U.S. F2000 National Championship. “All of the participants in the series are responsible for its current success and stature as the top feeder series into the KOOL/Toyota Atlantic and PPG/Dayton Indy Lights series, and the new relationship with Hunt & Co. will both bolster this status and provide more return on everyone’s time and monetary investment.” Hunt’s tasks include the strengthening of current sponsor, manufacturer and promoter relationships while creating new ones. One of Hunt’s main tasks is to secure a series’ title sponsor, a partnership which the U.S. F2000 has never created. “The current staff has done an excellent job at positioning the series at the top of the driver development spectrum, making it more attractive to potential sponsors than ever before,” said Hunt. “I’m excited to be a part of the F2000 team, and accept the challenge to move the series forward.”
