F2000 CLOSER MOVES FROM HOMESTEAD TO SEBRING

FAIRFIELD, N.J. (August 18, 1999) - The U.S. F2000 National Championship Presented by Speedvision will conclude its 1999 season with a doubleheader weekend at Sebring International Raceway, October 15-17, replacing the current finale scheduled for the Miami-Dade Homestead Motorsports Complex September 24-26.

The move comes after series promoters were informed that there would be no television coverage available for the weekend.

"Television is a key ingredient to our series, and we wouldn't think of concluding the season without it," said series co-owner Dan Andersen. "We regret making a schedule change at this late date, but the circumstances beyond our control have left us with no other decision.

"We are fortunate to have found a suitable replacement, and are pleased to be a part of the October Speedfest at Sebring with the BFGoodrich Tires Trans-Am Series."
