"Bobby Wilson heads to Mid-Ohio ooking for Another Zetec Victory"
TORONTO, ON. -- (June 21, 2004) After a short break in the Cooper Tire Championship Series schedule, Bobby Wilson (Citrus Systems / Greens-Keeper / RW Racing / #3) and his Cape Motorsports squad will get back into race trim this coming weekend at the 2.4 mile Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio. The Dousman, WI resident already has two wins on the season and will look to extend his championship point lead on the demanding 15 turn circuit.
Recently completing a test at the Mid-Ohio circuit, Wilson is prepped and ready to do battle for victory. "We had a great test here a few weeks ago," stated Wilson in a recent phone interview. "We worked on a lot of things and I am confident heading into the weekend's competition." Looking to move up the motorsports ladder, the 2003 Shifter Kart Illustrated Driver of the Year will look to pilot his red Citrus Systems Greens Keeper RW Racing Van Diemen towards victory.
Wilson, who has had consistent race finishes all year, leads the Cooper Tire Championship Series by a single point over his nearest competitor and as the season closes in on the mid-point, he will look to garner as many points as possible towards the overall series championship.
Wilson will hit the tack on Friday June 25th for the first round of the weekend's official competition and will look to take the checkered on the Sunday afternoon event.
