Cooper Championship Series is proud to announce drivers are coming from across the world to race in Formula Ford Zetec.

St. Petersburg, Florida, February 21, 2005- The huge success at the end of the 2004 Formula Ford ZETEC racing season has translated into a huge start to the 2005 season. Who would have thought from those early days in April of 1990 at Willow Springs when the first North American Formula Ford ZETEC series race began, that the series would be a favorite of international drivers?

Drivers from Europe, Canada, South America and the United States have registered for the Cooper Championship Series this year. Brad Baytos, the co-owner of the series says," We are all very excited about the large number of registered drivers. It is a testament to this series, as it attracts a high level of competition and brings drivers from the top levels of racing from around the globe."

If a race series success is to be measured by the amount of superior talent that it engages, then the Formula Ford ZETEC Series must be near the top of its class. The proof is that with several months to go before the start of the season the ZETEC series has 50 plus drivers. 32 of them will be driving in the Formula Ford ZETEC Pro Series and 18 in the American Continental Championship.

A new addition to this years racing series will be a new website with updates being posted daily during race weekends. Included as well will be streaming video and interviews with the drivers and teams. You will see these updates soon on www.cooperseries.com. Postings on the 2005 race schedule will be online in the coming weeks.
