Jyllands Ringen, Denmark: American Jason Workman has captured the competitive Danish F2000 Series Championship by winning the Grand Prix of Denmark at Jyllands Ringen on August 28-29. His win in the first race, followed by a competitive 3rd place finish in the second race, directly behind closest championship challenger Tommy Jespersen, mathematically secured the championship for Workman with two more races to be run.

"I can not tell you my feelings right now," said an elated Workman. "The event went absolutely perfect. All my sponsors and the team made a huge effort to make this come through for me - thanks a lot guys. In the first heat, I started on pole and led the whole race. It was great to see my teammate Lasse (Jokobsen) finish right behind me giving the Valvoline Racing Formula team a one-two finish! In the second race, I just focused on finishing right behind Tommy Jespersen which secured for me this year's championship."

"Jason and Lasse are two of the greatest talents I have seen racing here in Denmark," commented Valvoline Racing Formula Team Manager, Henrik Nymark. "Having both our drivers on the podium for the Grand Prix is just great!"

Jason Workman joins a very short list of American drivers to have captured a European series championship crown. Workman is reviewing his options for next year including a return to the European circuits to compete in the exciting, new European Formula Renault 2000 Championship.
