The new FC Euro Series' extended pre-season test programme continued this weekend with a successful demonstration "race" at the famous Zandvoort circuit in the Netherlands. The Dutch seaside resort was bathed in hot sunshine as an international field showed the new, 3.5 litre Chrysler-powered single-seaters off to an appreciative audience.
Several of the cars were brand new, but still the hard-working mechanics managed to get them out for several sessions which culminated in a short promotional "race" on Sunday afternoon.
Drivers present at the demonstration included Anthony Kumpen (Belgium - GLPK Racing), Herman Buurman, Hugo van der Ham and Ron van Toren (Netherlands - Winsall Race Engineering), Aldo Piadade (Brazil - Team Alpie), Richard Purcell (GB - Top Marx), Marko Stipp (Germany) and Justin Keen (GB, both Vortex Motorsport).
Following the meeting, drivers and teams stayed on for an extra day's testing before taking their cars to Budapest, Hungary for another promotional event next weekend, this time alongside the prestigious FIA GT Championship.
