Another podium finish for ADM Motorsport
Despite some engine problems Austrian "Hotshot" Norbert Siedler earned another well deserved podium finish for ADM Motorsport today, the third since his comeback in Porto. Frankie Provenzano and Michele Caliendo finished the 11th Round of International Formula Master in Oschersleben in 15th and 18th position respectively.
Renato Melchioretto (Team Principal): "This was the maximum, Norbert could achieve in race 1, given that he was handicapted by some engine electronic problems for the whole race weekend. Generally speaking the reliability of the S.2000 car has improved a lot, however it was just a pity that we were not in a position to go for the win. The competition on this circuit is very close so it was quite difficult to shine for both, Frankie (Provenzano) and Michele (Caliendo). They are lacking of experience, as they have never raced here before, but I am optimistic that we will see some better results tomorrow. Michele has at least caused a stir by setting some promising lap times."
Norbert Siedler (car #41, 3rd): "An important podium that showed that we are not only competitive, when the conditions are mixed and tricky. Nevertheless I am still not happy as we have been struggling with some annoying engine problems for the whole weekend so far and if we are not able to sort them out until tomorrow, I can only hope for a wet race."
Frankie Provenzano (car #21, 15th): "I am not happy with my performance today, because I have lost too much time in the 3rd sector with the quick chicane, while my speed in the first sector is absolutely ok. I will study the data with my race engineer Andrea again and look what I can do tomorrow."
Michele Caliendo (car #22, 18th): "I know that I have to be patient, as I still have to learn my lesson in this competitive championship. It was a very difficult race, considering 23 cars crossed the finish-line and I couldn't do more but giving my best. Maybe if I stop putting too much pressure on myself, I can go even faster."
