Happy End for ADM Motorsport in Brno, Czech Republic, as Norbert Siedler completed his second top-3 finish in a row. The former F3000 champion finished third and 7th to put his team back on track in the championship.
Renato Melchioretto (Team Principal): "The weekend in Brno has demonstrated that it is always worth fighting until the flag drops and that a disappointing qualifying is not the end of the world. Norbert had to overcome some obstacles but even if he had to start from 16th position on the grid on Saturday, we never lost confidence. We managed to improve the car step by step and at the end he got the maximum from the package. We are now 6th in the drivers championship with only 3 points to the top-3 which is quite o.k., considering that we had to fight with some problems during the season opener. In closing I also have to congratulate our Brazilian kid Octavio Freitas who impressed me with his speed during all the weekend."
Norbert Siedler (car # 17, P3 and P7): "Today I want to thank the entire team and especially my team principal Renato Melchioretto, who always gives me his maximum support. Qualifying was pretty bad, I was 16th after being caught in traffic in the final laps. However, we never gave up and with a superb start and some overtaking manoeuvres we moved up to 7th position in the first race. For the second race we managed to improve the car a bit, which was necessary to keep Ammermuller behind me. Now I am heading to the French Grand Prix where I hope for further points in the Porsche Supercup."
Frankie Provenzano (car # 22, P10 and P14): "Another disappointing weekend - this time with an exploding fire extinguisher in qualifying. I don't want to take that as an excuse, but when you are somewhere in the middle of this competitive grid it is almost impossible to arrive in the points. Anyway, I know that I can do a lot better so I only want to concentrate on my next races in two weeks."
Michele Caliendo (car #21. P16): "After my heavy crash during the tests on Wednesday it was very difficult for me to find the rhythm again, even if I tried my very best. The first race was quite ok, as I managed to overtake some cars but in the Sunday race I was involved in another accident by Costa, who spun in front of me."
Octavio Freitas (car # 16, P19): "Overall, I can be happy with how the weekend went. I was 12th with my first set of tyres in qualifying which was quite a surprise and also my race pace was not too bad. I look forward to the next International Formula Master event in Estoril."
