McLaren Autosport BRDC Award - nominate Stefan Wilson

Nominations are now open for the 2007 McLaren Autosport BRDC Award, which is for drivers between the ages of 16 and 23 who are competing in a single-seater championship but have not entered a race in any category above National Class F3. Justin was a finalist ten years ago, in 1998.

His younger brother Stefan, 18 today, gets a well-deserved mention in this week's Autosport after switcing from karts to cars and taking multiple victories in this year's Formula Palmer Audi champtionship. Stefan is currently 2nd in the championship as he heads into the season finale at Croft this weekend.

Six finalists (five selected by a panel of judges from those nominated, plus the winner of a shoot-out race) will be evaluated over two days of testing different cars and in interviews. The winner will receive a test in a McLaren-Mercedes Formula 1 car and £50,000, plus the prestige attached to the Award.
