Essex racing driver, Ryan Hooker has claimed third row starts for both races in the Formula Palmer Audi double header to be held at Brands Hatch tomorrow (August 17th).

In an eventful day, Ryan secured 5th on the grid for Race One and 6th on the grid for Race Two, easily within grasp of a strong points scoring position tomorrow as he aims to strengthen his current second place in the championship.

The first qualifying session saw the grid radically altered from first appearances after the race stewards disallowed the fastest laps of eight other drivers for setting times whilst the track was under yellow flags. The second qualifying was equally as dramatic as it was red flagged not once but twice, the second bringing the session to a premature end. "With the qualifying session being red flagged twice we lost a lot of track time and momentum" explains Ryan, "and I'm sure there's even more to come from my car tomorrow!"

Ryan is quick to give praise to the pole sitter for both races, Adam Smith, "Adam did an amazing set of laps" says Ryan, " but whether he can keep that pace throughout the race is a different matter, the race is completely different."

All in all Ryan is comfortable with his third row starts "I'm used to it all going on around me!" he says and adds, "I think we're in with a good chance tomorrow, we've got a good car for the race"
