The Formula Nippon circus completed two days of testing at the demanding Fuji circuit in dry conditions. The fourth round of the Championship will be held at the circuit on the 4th June.

Michael completed 161 Laps over the two days in his Reynard 99/L run by Team 5Zigen. The Team concentrated on damper development and completed their planned program of work.

Michael worked through his program with a temporary engineer as his regular engineer "Hiro" is seconded to a Le Mans program and is at the Pre Qualifying in France this weekend.

Michael finished the first day in 8th Position. Unusually the track changed drastically on the second day and inexplicably did not suit the set up Michael had developed on day one. Following a change of dampers, Michael achieved a good balance for his Reynard and set competitive times for the remainder of the session.

" Fuji is not one of my better tracks, I have had some bad experiences here in the past and I am very pleased that we achieved all our objectives in this test and set the second fastest time. My team mate Hattori, also set very competitive times and this looks good for us when we return in June for the race here". Michael commented from Fuji Saturday evening.
