Motegi, Japan - Sunday, 16th April 2000 - Malaysia's Alex Yoong was forced to retire on lap 26 of the 45 lap race with a jammed gear box at round 2 of the 2000 Formula Nippon Championship held at the Twin Ring Motegi Circuit.
