1999 Kent Formula Ford Champion Brett Francis will continue racing in the Kent County Series with the support of Oasis Environmental Services. The young Australian driver looked set to spend the season on the sidelines until the Sevenoaks based firm stepped forward to keep Francis on track. He has rewarded their faith in him by taking his third consecutive win of the year at Brands Hatch on Saturday, having won at Lydden the previous week and on the Brands Indy circuit in April. It was an easy victory for Francis in the PA Motorsport Swift SC93F, in which he was over one second a lap quicker than his nearest rival. He also smashed his own lap record on the extended Grand Prix circuit by nearly one and a half seconds.
"Three races, three wins. It couldn't have started any better!", Francis said after his latest victory. "There was a lot of talk last year that I would have been moving on to the UK National Formula Ford Championship, and it was the move I was hoping to make, but without any financial support it was never going to happen. Thankfully Oasis have come on board and are keen to be a part of our successful team - so we can look forward to winning more races. Kent Formula Ford is extremely strong at the moment, so I'm more than pleased to be competing in this series through-out 2000."
Steve Facer, Sales & Marketing Manager of Oasis commented "Brett Francis has proved an invaluable asset for Oasis in promoting the company and helping us to get closer to our customers. It's an exciting way to advertise our company, and we welcome any like-minded businesses that would like to become involved in this winning combination."
