The weekends on the calendar of the Formula Renault 1.6 NEC Junior Championship have been chosen with care. “It is of great importance for teams and drivers to participate in great race weekends, not only for the exposure for partners and sponsors, but also for the drivers to show their talent”, says Mick de Haas, CEO of MdH Communications. “The choice to be together with the Clio Cup Benelux is a strategic one. We want to built a Renault community, on track and in the paddock. And it is also possible for teams to enter a Clio Cup car as well as a 1.6 Formula Renault.”

Upon request of the teams, the promoter MdH Communications offers more tracktime in 2014. The free testing will be extended from 25 minutes to two times 30 minutes. This way the young drivers get more experience on track but also to have more interaction with their engineers. More testing means more time to evaluate and to make progress. The weekend further consists of 20 minutes qualifying and two races of 20 minutes each.
