WHAT TO LOOK FOR AT BARK RIVER:
TIGHT RACE GETS TIGHTER IN PRO-LITE - Defending Pro-Lite Champion Jeff Kincaid regained the overall class points lead after a victory and a second-place finish at CORR's last event in Ft. Dodge, Iowa. Kincaid, Argonne, Wis., drove his new Forest County Potawatomi Toyota Tacoma past Toyota Tacoma-powered rookie Steve Federico, Wilmette, Ill., in addition to earning his class leading fourth win of the year and the sixth in 10 races for a Tacoma.
While Kincaid leads Federico by 13 points, following closely in third overall is another Toyota rookie, Chad Hord. A local driver from the Iron Mountain town of Felch, Mich. - 35 miles from the Bark River Raceway - Hord chases Federico by 13 points in his Boss Snow Plow Toyota Tacoma for the CORR Kumho Tire Rookie of the Year award. The 24-year-old off-road phenom joined the Pro-Lite ranks this season after five successful seasons racing in the Sportsman Super Buggy class, where he won six races and the 2000 championship.
GREAVES ADDS TO ALL-TIME VICTORY TOTAL - All-time CORR win leader Johnny Greaves increased his career victory total to 24 in Ft. Dodge as he drove his Forest County Potawatomi Toyota Tundra 4x4 to his second win of the season. Greaves, DePere, Wis., continued a hot run that has seen him finish out of the top five only once since early June. His two Pro-4 victories is second in the class, and he is only nine points out of second place overall.
Jeff Kincaid, Forest County Potawatomi Toyota Tacoma & Pro-Lite class points
"I'm looking forward to going back to Bark River to redeem the last time we were there. We got "nickle -and-dimed" there - little 5-cent parts breaking and taking us out of the race. This weekend, were going for wins and points. It's great to be able to come back with the overall lead."
Johnny Greaves, Forest County Potawatomi Toyota Tundra 4x4:
"We got our first win of the year at the first Bark River event in July, so it's a good feeling going back already knowing the set-up on the truck. Having a win at Bark River, and another recent victory at Ft. Dodge, gives us the confidence that we can get two wins this weekend. We'd like to leave in second place overall."
