Mike Savage Off-Road Racing ready for 2005 Sportsman2 CORR Season

Privateer Mike Savage is looking forward to get the 2005 Lucas Oil CORR Sportsman 2 season underway. Kumho Tires, the "official tire" of the Lucas Oil CORR series, continues to partner with Mike Savage for the 2005 season.

After finishing 4th overall in 2003 (7 points out of second place), the 2004 season was filled with ups, four top-4 finishes, and downs, three DNFs. "Crandon just was not our track last year, after great finishes the year before, we just had too many setbacks to keep us in the points battle." -- Mike Savage.

After putting the Savage Construction/Kumho Tire Ford F-150 through a thorough rebuilding process this winter, Mike decided to have a well respected engine builder put together a new powerplant. "When we were running well, the class champion seemed to get an extra step coming out of the corners. Hopefully, this will give the team the added push to give Dan (Baudoux, current Sportsman 2 champion), a real run for the title," adds Mike Savage.

Look for the Lucas Oil CORR Sportsman Series to begin May 21-22 at I-96 Speedway in Lake Odessa, Michigan. Don't forget to watch the entire CORR series, later this year, on SPEED TV.

Mike Savage thanks all his sponsors for their continued support. Including: Savage Contruction, Kumho Tires, Signature Salon, American Racing, ATD, Autometer, Beards Seats, Boatec, Dynomax, Ford Trucks, King Shocks, K & N Filters, Lucas Oil, Mechanix Wear, MSD Ignition, Phil's Inc., Precision Gear, Summit Racing, and Unique Metal Products.
