* MacCachren started Round 11 in the 7th position making it to the first corner in 3rd place. The Ford F-150 BFGoodrich #21 entry moved up through the field of trucks running 2nd to race leader Johnny Greaves. As Greaves accidentally missed a shift, MacCachren made contact with the first place truck ultimately breaking his front axle and forcing the Pro-4 points leader to a 4th place race finish.
CORR Round 12, Sunday August 12, Bark River, MI
* At the wave of the green flag, MacCachren was 6th coming out of the first corner. Quickly, MacCachren worked his way up to the 2nd position concentrating his efforts on race leader, Curt LeDuc. MacCachren caught LeDuc and stayed several feet behind him. With 5 seconds remaining, MacCachren found his chance to pass LeDuc. While making his move to claim the race lead, MacCachren broke a front wheel thus sending the Ford F-150 Trailmaster entry to the pits and to a final 6th place finish. With 12 out of 16 rounds of racing complete on the 2001 schedule, MacCachren faces a challenge to keep the Pro-4 championship. "Yes, it's a challenge but that's what makes it fun, that's what people come out to see. We'll do it. We will have to do what we do best - concentrate on the basics, win races and ultimately win the Championship - again!" MacCachren confidently stated.
* Again, Rob MacCachren and Bruce Fraley dominated the recent SNORE Midnight Special in Class 1/2-1600.The MacCachren/Fraley team placed first in class and second overall. Fraley's cars finished in the top three spots with Jeremy Gubler/Danny Anderson winning first overall in Class 10, MacCachren taking second overall in class 1/2-1600 and Bryan Freeman winning the 3rd overall spot in a 1/2-1600. MacCachren/ Fraley currently lead Class 10 points as well as maintaining the lead for the SNORE Overall points.
* Next stop on the 2001 CORR Series schedule is Crandon, WI on September 1 & 2. MacCachren Motorsports will defend their 2000 Borg Warner World Championship Off Road title in the Borg Warner race scheduled for Sunday, September 2.
