Avon, Ind. (February 25, 2002)Over fifty racers from the southwest attended CORR's introductory seminar in Ontario, California on Saturday, February 16. The seminar, which included a complete discussion of the CORR program, was designed to inform west coast drivers about the opportunities available in the Lucas Oil Series.

CORR Marketing Director Jamie Devney was impressed by the questions asked. "For an hour and a half, we answered every question and everyone's interest level was truly impressive."

CORR President Marty Reid was also in attendance and said the results of this trip may take two years to bear fruit. "I truly feel that over the next couple of years we will see at least four new teams coming from the west coast and maybe as many as eight," he said.

"I think having four of our Lucas Oil Pro Series drivers in attendance added a lot," said CORR Contingency Director Jim Conner. "These guys all raced in the desert before joining CORR and were able to answer all the key questions."

Championship Off Road Racing would like to say a special thank you to drivers Scott Douglas, Rick Huseman, Curt LeDuc, and Carl Renezeder for volunteering their valuable time in aiding CORR's effort to recruit new race teams.
