1994 Kenny Bernstein: 314.46 in the Final | Top 10 Finals Moment

A lot was said in 2004 about how Greg Anderson’s domination of Pro Stock forced many of his counterparts to burn the midnight oil to try to reduce his performance advantage. Kenny Bernstein and team had the same effect against opposing Top Fuel crews a decade before that after a stunning 314.46-mph clocking at the 1994 season closer. Entering the event, the Top Fuel national speed record was 308.95, and Bernstein obliterated that with a blast of 311.85 mph. Prior to the final, the question was whether Bernstein could back up that number — he answered with the 314.46 that was almost too swift to be backed up by the 311.
