THE Race To Win--

Milford, Michigan. The Mac Tools NHRA U.S. Nationals, at O'Reilly Raceway Park at Indianapolis, in Clermont, Indiana, is the oldest, richest and most prestigious race on the NHRA schedule. Racers and spectators, from all over the country, hold the Labor Day Weekend event as THE race to attend and THE race to win. For Frank Parker, and his VIPsports.com TAFC team, the race and track hold that and something extra.

Parker's crew won the U.S. Nationals Top Alcohol Funny Car class in 2003. In 2005, with the current VIP Dodge Stratus, they swept the Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series field under the track's carpet, qualifying number one, setting both ends of the track record and winning the event. Excellent showings at other ORP events have created a stockpile of valuable tuning data. "We've done well at Indy," Parker commented. "The track has one of the best racing surfaces and we feel our experience, driver, engine and chassis combination is one of the best for that surface. We're looking forward to a good show for the fans and the folks at VIP.com."

The Mopar Hemi-powered Dodge Stratus Top Alcohol Funny Car, in the blue and white livery of VIPsports.com, is already at O'Reilly Raceway Park at Indianapolis, being prepped for the big weekend. The crew towed directly from the LODRS event at Bowling Green, Kentucky. There, a run of bad racing luck turned record-setting qualifying time and speed records -- and a seemingly sure win -- into a runner-up finish.
