John Force Racing Eager to Welcome Motorsports Fans !-4th annual Event Highlights Brownsburg's Motorsports Network-
BROWNSBURG, IN (May 24, 2010) --- John Force Racing East, the Midwest headquarters of the most successful team in Funny Car drag racing history, will open its doors to the public Saturday, May 29th , from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. as part of the 4th annual Brownsburg Motorsports Network Open House.
2009 Funny Car champion Robert Hight will be available from 11 a.m. to noon signing autographs. Hight, winner of the last three NHRA national events, is currently No. 2 in the Full Throttle point standings.
Fans will have the opportunity to visit the JFR Museum on the mezzanine, Eric Medlen Tribute Room, the race shop with race cars and transporters on display, and The Eric Medlen Project which includes the JFR machine shop, the Fab/Chassis shop, and the paint shop.
"We have really tried to make our Brownsburg shop a showcase for John Force Racing. We hosted the AARWBA banquet in January and IRL driver Dario Franchitti was quite impressed when he toured the facility after the banquet. Fans who take the chance to tour our facility will see what makes John Force Racing one of the top teams in motorsports," said 14-time Funny Car Champion John Force.
"In addition to the shop elements, fans are always thrilled to see the many Funny Cars that are on display including Mike Neff's rookie of the year Mustang, Ashley Force Hood's Ronald McDonald House Charities Mustang, and Robert Hight's Auto Club Ford Mustang," added Force.
The John Force RaceStation retail store will be open for the event from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. with a wide variety of souvenirs and memorabilia available to fans.
In addition to John Force Racing teams such as Vance and Hines Motorsports, Bob East (Beast) Racing, ProTech Graphics, Nine Racing, Retro Tech and Freedom Racing will be participating.
Last year's Brownsburg Motorsports Network Open House was very successful with thousands of race fans touring a number of shops. The goal of the event is to attract fans that are in town for the Indianapolis 500 to Brownsburg to show them what Brownsburg Motorsports is all about.
