SONOMA, Calif. -- Greg Anderson, driver of the Vegas General Construction Pro Stock Pontiac Grand Am, wants to perfect his record at this weekends Fram-Autolite NHRA Nationals in Sonoma, Calif. Last year at this race Anderson nearly had a perfect score card. He qualified Number1, set both the track ET and speed records, and went to the Pro Stock final round. The only thing he did not do was win the race.

"I guess I get an A minus for that race," said Anderson of Charlotte, NC. "We did everything but win the race here last year. That is our goal for this race. We want to take home the trophy this time around.

"I like this racetrack. It has always been good to me. This weekend we will be back to sea level conditions. We have a great tune-up for these conditions. Infinoen Raceway is a unique place to race. It is located on a point on the north side of the San Francisco bay and on the edge of the Sonoma valley. Because of its location, the weather can be hard to predict. It can be 60 degrees and foggy in the morning, and then be in the high 80's by afternoon. I have been here in the past when it has been well over a hundred degrees. So, as long as it does not get too hot, I think we will be okay."

Qualifying at the 16th annual Fram-Autolite NHRA Nationals will begin on Friday Aug 1, and finish on Saturday Aug.2. Eliminations will take place on Sunday Aug. 3 at 11:00 Am PST.
