GREEN NOMINATED FOR AWARD AT WORLD MOTORSPORT SYMPOSIUM 2005

VISTA, Calif. (Nov. 3, 2005) -- Veteran crew chief and Don Prudhomme Racing employee Mike Green has been nominated for the Race Engine Designer of the Year Award to be presented at the World Motorsport Symposium 2005.

The inaugural event, hosted by Race Tech and Race Engine Technology magazines, will be held November 10-11, 2005, at the Royal Air Force Museum in London. Green has been nominated for his outstanding contribution to Tommy Johnson's victory at the season-opening Winternationals in Pomona, Calif. Johnson drove the Green-tuned Skoal RacingSM Chevy Monte Carlo Funny Car to a then career-best (4.741 seconds, 328.22 mph) performance en route to besting the field at the 2005 NHRA season kick-off race.

"Obviously, this is a tremendous honor for both myself and our race team," Green said. "It was a total surprise to me when I saw the e-mail and read that we have been nominated for such an award of such regard. I'm disappointed that we won't be able to attend the event, but I wanted to thank everyone at both Race Tech and Race Engine Technology magazines for acknowledging our accomplishment and the sport of NHRA drag racing."

The World Motorsport Symposium 2005, sponsored by the lead Government organization UK Trade and Investment, is the first of its kind dedicated to race engine technology and racing car aerodynamics. The first day of the event will be dedicated to engines, while day two focuses on aerodynamics. The Race Engine Designer of 2005 Award and the Racecar Aerodynamicist of 2005 Award will be presented on November 10. The event will feature speakers from Toyota Motorsports, Renault F-1, Hendrick Motorsports, Cosworth F-1, Bosch, BAR F-1 Honda, Ferrari F-1, along with other motorsports and engineering experts.

Don Prudhomme Racing is headquartered in Vista, Calif., with a second shop -- Don Prudhomme Racing, Brownsburg, Ind. -- serving as the base for racing operations. Drivers Larry Dixon and Tommy Johnson Jr. complete the roster of Don Prudhomme Racing drivers and proudly represent such racing partners as Miller Brewing Co., U.S. Smokeless Tobacco Co., Ameriquest Mortgage Co., Lucas Oil Products and Raybestos.
