The rain clouds disappeared from the sky over the Virginia Motorsports Park. The sun filled the sky and gave the teams the dry day that they were looking for.

Mike Coughlin began the third qualifying session resting in the No. 14 spot. Mike and his JEG'S Mail Order Chevy S-10 jump up to the No. 4 position. He ran a 7.499 at 179.09 mph. Mike was No. 4 in et and No. 2 in speed for the session.

"The last couple races have not been very kind to our program," stated Mike. "Making a run like this shows that the hard work is paying off."

John stated the final day of qualifying sitting in the No. 6 slot. He was one of the Pro Stock Truck drivers who was unable to make a run during the second qualifying session due to rain. John did not improve and fell to the No. 11 position.

"We didn't make the type of run we were looking for. However, we will be able to tune off of our team truck to help me to improve for the final qualifying session," John said.

Mike improved during the final session. He ran a 7.496 at 179.25 mph and stayed in the No. 5 spot. The JEG'S machine will face off against Rick Jones in the first round, Mike will have lane choice.

"Our program has really turned around and we are ready to win," said Mike.

John also improved during the last qualifying session. He ran a 7.504 at 179.68 mph and moved up to the No. 6 position.

"What a difference over the past couple of races," noted John. "We are ready to continue our winning ways."
