Gainesville, Florida (March 18): Tony "The Sarge" Schumacher will have to wait until April to run the Gatornationals in Gainesville, Florida as rain washed out Sunday's Final Eliminations.

Schumacher, the No. 11 qualifier, was scheduled to run Andrew Cowin in the first round. The rain started early Saturday evening and only stopped briefly Sunday morning before the event was officially canceled.

"The NHRA thought we might have a small window where we could get one or two rounds completed," said Schumacher, "but it never stopped long enough for them to even try to dry the race track."

The Army Top Fuel team will instead will use Tuesday and Wednesday to test their dragster before they continue south to Houston for the O'Reilly Nationals.

"This will probably help us," added Schumacher, "we were struggling this weekend and hopefully when we come back, we'll have all of our problems straightened out."

The Gatornationals will continue on April 20-21. Teams will get two test and tune sessions on the 20th. Final Eliminations will take place on April 21st.
