MILLINGTON, Tenn. (August 22, 2004) -- It was a nitrous versus supercharged final round at the NHRA AMS Staff Leasing Pro Mod Challenge, an exhibition class, being held this weekend as part of the NHRA O'Reilly Mid-South Nationals. Taking the win light for his second win this season was Mike Castellana, from Westbury N.Y., in a nitrous-powered Camaro. He defeated Mike Ashley's supercharged-powered Mustang.

Mike Ashley and Richie Stevens, Jr. are the first pair out. Ashley with a new "Gone in 6.0 Seconds" paint scheme on his Unique Performance/InfiNet Insurance-backed '67 Shelby G. T. 500 Mustang skated around but took the win over Stevens in Roy Hill's Valspar-sponsored '67 Ford Mustang.
Both nitrous cars won. Mike Castellana, in a '68 Camaro, took the win over a red-lighting John Scialpi, in a '57 Chevy. Castellana's teammate Shannon Jenkins, also in a '68 Camaro, turned back Ashley's teammate Danny Rowe, who pilots a '63 Corvette.
The final pair in the opening round saw Tommy Gray, Jr., subbing for Von Smith in the Tommy Lipar Racing '04 Mustang, take the win light from the No. 1 qualifier here at Memphis and three-time 2004 winner on the NHRA AMS Staff Leasing Pro Mod Challenge Al Billes.
